NTCSA appoints CFO
The National Transmission Company South Africa (NTCSA) has appointed Maureen Manyama CFO.
“We are pleased to welcome Maureen to the NTCSA. Her extensive financial leadership experience, strong governance background and proven ability to lead transformation will further strengthen our executive team as we continue to advance the NTCSA’s strategic mandate to deliver a competitive liberalised electricity marketplace and support South Africa’s energy future,” says NTCSA CEO Monde Bala.
The company describes Manyama as a seasoned finance executive, board director and transformational leader with more than 25 years of executive leadership experience across State-owned enterprises, financial services, listed companies and higher education.
She has expertise in financial management, governance, audit, risk and compliance and has a strong record of driving organisational transformation and enhancing financial sustainability.
Prior to joining the NTCSA, she served as CFO of the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits). Before that, she held senior executive positions at Airports Company South Africa, the South African Forestry Company, the Agricultural Research Council, Hollard Insurance and Postbank.
Manyama is a chartered accountant and holds a Master of Business Administration from the Gordon Institute of Business Science. She has also served as a nonexecutive director across a number of organisations.
"The NTCSA welcomes Maureen and looks forward to her contribution as the company continues to build a sustainable, high-performing transmission business in support of South Africa’s energy security and economic growth," the company states.
